Welcome to Multimedia Construction Zone!

Thank you for joining me for a week of multimedia exploration. This is a very project-oriented class, so it will be a very active five days.

I am going to use this blog as a central point for thoughts, comments, and resources for the class. I'll continue to add to it during the week based on the topics and ideas that we cover. It will stay up until next summer, so you can always return to it if you lost a link to an online resource.

I won't repeat everything I told you during the introduction. I'd like to know more about what your hoping to do with multimedia when you get back to school. Take a moment to click on the "Comments" button in the lower right corner of this post, and tell me (and your classmates) something about your multimedia hopes and aspirations.

Thanks for teaching this class. I am interested in learning how to put together powerpoint presentations as well as making videos and putting them online.

I am looking forward to having time to play with the programs because that is how I learn best. Most of this is, unfortunately, not usable for my kids to do because our technology is a mess. I, however, can create things to use in my teaching.

I hope to learn many of the classroom-applicable technologies that are new since I last taught in 1998. Powerpoint is what I see myself using the most. Learning to use the full capabilities of my digital camera will be great.

I do a lot of professional development classes and would like to be able to do powerpoint with more than just a slide with text. I also would like to be able to add charts and use inspiration to create different kinds of maps to include. I am also in the process of developing some powerpoint training that would like to add video clips to illustrate a teaching point. I am very beginner and these programs may be a little outside my experience. I am still learning how to use excel and am taking an online class to work on that..hopefully this will give me enough knowledge that I can keep working on this. I would also like to know how to set up a web page and how to get material from the net and add to my work

I'm very interested in learning more about Inspiration since we will be doing a lot with that software next school year. I'm also hoping to expand project work for my students next year and so I'm anxious to learn as much as I can about all the programs you have listed in the course syllabus. All of them will be useful to me.

Hi, I'm Nattolie Sinclaire from BEST High School, in Lake Washington School District, and I want to learn how to make a digital movie using the Pinnacle software. I'm also interested in learning how to reproduce art work using high quality pprintng techniques. This class will be great for my needs.
